On October 24, 2005 Hurricane Wilma struck south Florida causing extensive damage to a luxury home in Hallandale Beach. The storm peeled back a portion of the roof on to the main roof which caused interior damage as a result of multiple leaks from the severe winds and rain. After many months delay from the insured's first-hired public adjuster, two insurance company adjusters, and an initial check of only $33,843.26 the insured hired Rick Tutwiler. Mr. Tutwiler successfully recovered to the homeowner's satisfaction a total of $226,687 - or $192,843.74 in new money!
