On October 24, 2005 Hurricane Wilma wreaked havoc on the southern portion of Key Biscayne causing extensive wind and hurricane damage to this condominium community. Due to multiple leaks on the main roof causing extensive damage to the mansard and ruined interior finishing, public adjuster Rick Tutwiler of Tutwiler and Associates, Inc. was retained. Upon a thorough and lengthy investigation of all the damaged units, a negotiated settlement for the Association resulted in $41,402 after an initial offer of $0.
