D-Coy Clothing is a designer clothing retailer located in Miami's fashion district. Hurricane Wilma caused damage to the building that D-Coy was leasing as a tenant. The building damage allowed water inside the tenant space causing extensive water damage to the inventory, furniture and fixtures. Keith Grams of Tutwiler and Associates, Inc. was retained to assist with the property insurance claim process. A detailed damage assessment of the tenant improvements was completed along with a detailed inventory report. A series of negotiations with the insured's carrier resulted in an insurance settlement of more than $233,169.00.
