Ft. Myers Florida located in Lee County is the gateway to the Southwest Florida region. Places like Boca Grande, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Pine Island and Ft. Myers Beach are major tourist destinations in Florida. Places like Cape Coral and Bonita Springs are now booming with new development and with new construction comes increased risk for property insurance issues such as fire, water and hurricane.

In 2004, Hurricane Charley one of the strongest hurricanes to hit Southwest Florida since Hurricane Donna in 1960 caused severe loss and damage as it made landfall on the peninsula near Port Charlotte. Charley continued north and northeast along the Peace River devastating Punta Gorda, Cleveland, Fort Ogden, Nocatee, Arcadia, Zolfo Springs, Sebring and Wauchula before heading to Orlando and Daytona to create even more damage.

This historic Holiday Inn on Ft. Myers Beach suffered severe flooding in all of its first floor guest rooms and restaurant and bar area. Immediately following the storm, the ownership interviewed several large public adjusting firms before choosing Tutwiler and Associates Public Adjusters to represent them in their insurance claim. The result was a prompt, fair settlement in excess of $640,000.00. Tutwiler and Associates Public Adjusters are always on call and are considered the premier private insurance consultants and loss advisors advocating exclusively for the policyholder.
